![]() Fuelled by a pure heart, he is risen to shine in this dark world! This is what Eddie will become, a hero visually comparable to a mix of Eddie the Head and Vecna. Ring 3 - Screaming Skull: To me, this skull looks like Eddie the Head, of Iron Maiden. FROM WIKIPEDIA: "Whereas the novella focuses on Stalinism, the album is a critique of capitalism and differs again in that the sheep eventually rise up to overpower the dogs." BUT, I am thinking it might be more specifically referencing the opening and closing tracks, Pigs on the Wing 1 & 2, which serve as kind of a beacon of hope amidst all the more negative tones. ***Ring 2 - Pig Head with Wings:* Given that Eddie is Eddie, I bet this is a reference to the Pink Floyd album "Animals" which is loosely based on George Orwell's "Animal Farm". I think he is the savior in the middle and the 4 skulls represent some people that MAY be resurrected? (I am working through thoughts on that one.) 4! LIKE VECNA'S VICTIMS! The silver ring has a cross in the center with the skulls in each corner. ***Ring 1 - Cross with 4 skulls:***4 skulls. Next on the list: Eddie's RingsNow, we know his ink told of his fight, but I think his rings tell of his fate. To Tame a Land - (goodness has returned to The Upside Down, with a new King to protect it) Sun and Steel - (Vecna final demise via Eddie) Quest For Fire - (a journey through The Upside Down to reclaim it from evil?) Still Life - (this could be Eddie having to die with Vecna? maybe a good vs evil moment?) The Trooper - (The Trooper has his life taken and he'll take Vecna's, too) Revelations - (the lyrics in this song just scream Eddie's story)įlight of Icarus - (Vecna is Icarus, flies too close to the sun)ĭie With Your Boots On - (Eddie died with his boots on, a trooper against evil) Where Eagles Dare - (Eddie went where only eagles dare, so that he could fight towards a day saved) Also, the album art is Eddie the Head in a straight jacket and didn't Eddie and Chrissy have a little chat about feeling crazy? ooooo!!!!Then, there is the track list which may tell the story of our mighty hero rising to power. Eddie's story ended with his own peace of mind. ***First, the album "Piece of Mind":***The title of the album (I think) says it all. My theory is around the concept that our boy Eddie will return in the final season of Stranger Things and his role will be: EPIC METAL GOD HERO (based on Iron Maidens mascot Eddie the Head). Rather than just a sweet metal reference, I have no doubt that this is our next huge teasey easter egg. He even makes live show appearances onstage and you could really say he was like a 5th band member!Įddie has evolved into many different looks over the years and the awesome album artwork by artists like Derek Riggs, Melvyn Grant and Tim Bradstreet to name a few make killer tattoos for the fans.Like the title says, I've got a theory brewing!Īs we all know, Eddie Munson grabs the glorious Iron Maiden album "Piece of Mind" and exclaims "THIS IS MUSIC!" in that one episode of Stranger Things. The "zombie like" creature takes on a different role throughout the band's artwork and Eddie assumes a different guise relating to the themes of individual albums and their corresponding world tours, and has appeared as a cyborg, an Egyptian mummy and a lobotomized mental patient among others. Eddie then went on to gain a full body and began to appear on Maiden's album covers illustrated by Derek Riggs. He made his first appearance when the stage manager at the time Dave "Lights" Beasley designed a paper mache head that was placed above the drummer at concerts and spat blood through it's mouth. Iron Maiden's mascot Eddie is as iconic as the legendary heavy metal band, and these super fans have some killer Eddie ink.Įddie, also known as Eddie the Head, is the mascot for the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. ![]()
